January 2009 A new year has come and a fresh start. We have exciting times in front of us, full of opportunities. The latter part of 2008 could have been better for the world economy, but let us leave that time behind us and hold our heads high when we enter 2009. This is our first newsletter, there will be more to come, with some product-, exhibition-, company and industry news delivered directly to your mailbox. With a positive attitude and many new products we look forward to the next challenge, the Z.O.W. in Bad Salzuflen, Feb 9-12. Will there be record crowds again this year? |

A word from... Mr Per Vilén, managing director. Recently returned from vacation.
N: - What are your comments regarding the economic downturn and the future of the furniture industry? P: - For many companies it has been a rude awakening with the financial market coming close to a complete stop. And it will probably take more than one year for the world economy to rise again. In regard to Furnco, we have close to 30 years of experience and this is not our first economic recession and probably not our last. N: - You have a wider range of products, any favourites? P: - I am especially proud of our new LED program and can´t wait to see how the response will be from the customers. We are introducing more than 20 new products for 2009. Actually, it will probably be more than that. Mostly LED. N: - What do you see for 2009? P: Recessions can be brutal, but at the same time, we see an opportunity. We are optimistic and feel that what lies in front of us is both inspirational and exciting.

Z.O.W. in Bad Salzuflen In a few weeks time we will open our stand in Germany for visitors and friends. We are located in Hall 20, stand B4.

F.A.Q. Q: Why can´t I use the same LED driver for ribbons as well as for power LEDs? A: Good question. For ribbons we use much smaller LEDs, less than 1W. And power LEDs are 1W and more. Power LEDs needs constant current drivers and ribbons constant voltage drivers. Connecting the wrong driver can still work, but will effect the life and/or the performance of the LED. We offer a wide range of LED lighting fixtures and a complete range of drivers, both constant voltage and constant current drivers.
